Guide Of Valencia

Valencia is a city in which the past and the present coexist in harmony. In its streets you can find traces of its early history in Roman times from the year 138. B.C., through Arabic, Gothic and Jugendstil monuments.

Our apartments are located in the popular neighborhood of Carmen were you can find the main historic monuments like for example the Lonja de la Seda (Silk-Exchange), which is declared a world heritage site, the Mercado Central (central market), the biggest indoor-market in Spain, the Catedral, the Torre del Miguelete (Miguelete Tower), the Plaza Redonda, the church Santa Catalina, the Torres de Serranos, las Torres de Quart (both old town city gates) or the City Hall of Valencia.

All of our apartments are close to restaurants, shops and bars with live music and terraces where you can enjoy the nice wheather, pubs that you can enjoy all night and countless theatres, like for example the Teatro Principal, the Teatro Olympia, Teatro Rialto or the Teatro Talía.

In 5 minutes walking distance you can reach the Plaza de la Virgen, the Plaza de la Reina, the Palacio de los Borja – the current seat of the court of Valencia –, the Almudín (old Almudín Building, museum) or the Ataranzanas.

A city suitable for every audience

Valencia offers endless possibilities especially for children. Throughout the city numerous gardens beautify the urban landscape and offer a playful recreation for the little ones, like for example the popular Parque de Gulliver (Gulliver-park) in the Jardines del Real (the kings garden).

At the end of the ancient river bed you will find one of the symbols of the avant-garde Valencia, the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences)and the Palau de les Arts (Arts palace). Impressive in its size and architecture, this complex allows you to learn interactively in the Cinema Planetarium-L’Hemisféric, the Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe or L’Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe.

Not to forget the stunning beaches. The sun and its great climate make Valencia a perfect city for summer. The beaches Playa de la Malvarrosa and the Playa de las Arenas are one of the other places that are home to a large number of restaurants and pubs, where you can walk alongside the beach and eat a good paella, a characteristic symbol of the cuisine of Valencia.

The Harbor and la The Marina Real Juan Carlos I are other tourist places of the city. There you can walk through the big gardens, eat at one of their restaurants or enjoy a boat ride on the Mediterranean Sea.

Valencia is also a renowned center for congresses and a major meeting point for those wishing to develop their business or participate in trade fairs. It is also the center of major sports events like the European Grand Prix Formula 1 or the World Championship of Motorcycling GPS2.
